Forgiveness in the Moment, Author David Taylor

David Taylor

David was living in Seattle in November of 1999 when the riots protesting the WTO (World Trade Organization), which was meeting there, broke out. While participating in a prayer and meditation service focused on those events he was struck by the thought that in order to "Heal Globally" one must first "Forgive Locally" and that creating peace and justice in the world first requires finding peace in our own lives. Committed to finding a deeper spiritual experience of forgiveness he began to study, pray and meditate upon it.

Over the course of a few years he became aware of the teachings of Colin Tipping, Byron Katie, and Dr. Michael Ryce. (see: Going Further)  David began to incorporate their ideas and strategies concerning forgiveness and acceptance into his daily practice. While in the midst of this practice the idea of Forgiveness in the Moment came to him and he began to incorporate it into his daily life. Slowly and incrementally he noticed that many inner changes were occurring,

some long-standing emotional issues were clearing up as if by there own accord. He attributed this new sense of inner spaciousness and happiness to the daily practice of forgiveness.

Trained as an actor, David is also a student of the spoken word and the mystic poets: Whitman, Rumi, Rilke, Dickenson, et. al. His experiential workshop, “Speaking from the Authentic Self”, gives participants an awareness of the power of their own voice and an experience of oneness with the source of that power. His “Forgiveness in the Moment” workshop is designed to empower participants with the tools to engage in the world in an aware and centered state that enhances their intentions for purposeful and powerful living.

As a public speaker David brings the values of authenticity, eloquence, humor and passion to his presentations. To engage David please contact him via email.
