Forgiveness in the Moment Welcome

Welcome to
Forgiveness in the Moment.

We have a choice, as we go through our days, to be mastered by the events of life or we can learn to achieve mastery, and be calm and peaceful whatever happens.

We can choose to respond with anger, impatience, discouragement and sadness or we can learn to calm ourselves and be at peace. Obstacles, challenges and “bad news” will always show up, but by facing them consciously we can use them to pivot back to poise and equanimity. The more we do that the more we grow emotionally and spiritually.

When we make that powerful choice to forgive those people and events that trigger our initial emotional “negative” responses, then release them and allow peace of mind to be restored, we become more energetic and more effective.

When we make that powerful choice we can bring about change not only to how we perceive the world but how the world is.

Some time ago I began studying the idea of forgiveness and incorporated it into my daily life. Much of my practice was centered on the work of others which I found extremely helpful when I had some time to look at what was upsetting me. Each of these “forgiveness teachers” had developed a process which I used to great benefit, especially in the area of my emotional well being. But I soon came to perceive a need to forgive people I found irritating and events I found upsetting as they happened throughout the day, rather than wait till I had some time later on to give them my full attention.

The process I call “Forgiveness in the Moment” soon came into being and I put it into immediate practice. I have found it to be of immense help in restoring my emotional balance and purposeful living. It is meant to be complimentary to the other methods I use but it is very powerful in and of itself.

To begin, click on the tab titled The Process and begin implementing the steps when you feel your sense of well being challenged. If you desire to more fully understand the ideas behind the steps of The Process (it’s not necessary for The Process to work but you may find it helpful) click on The Process Explained. If you desire to expand your forgiveness practice, click on Going Further. There you will find links to the web pages, books and other material of those whose work has been invaluable to the emotional and spiritual growth of countless numbers of people.

In the section marked Tools there is a downloadable and printable version of The Process to serve as a reminder for you as you go through your day. Also included are a number of guided meditations you can use to give yourself a deeper experience of being forgiving and forgiving your self.  Finally in the section labeled Sharing you will have access to the Forgiveness blog, (coming soon) it is also a place to ask questions and share your forgiveness experience and testimonials. This site is meant to be a work in progress; your feed back is very welcome. Should you wish to contact me privately click on “Contact”

Thank-you for visiting this site. I am confident that as you incorporate ‘The Forgiveness In The Moment Process” into your daily life you will experience a greater sense of calm and inner peace. You may also find your world itself becoming more harmonious. I prayerfully affirm that it will.

Peace,
David.
